Note from the Organizer:  It is going to be beautiful weather! We will have plenty of volunteers. We are anticipating a great experience for all of our runners. Please arrive early to allow for parking. There will be plenty of parking just passed Elm Lake Pavillion. Racers will be waived through. If you have a park pass, please bring your park pass to registration. Be advised: If you have spectators with you, you will be asked to stop and pay park fee for each spectator unless you have a park pass. BB Volunteers will have a exibition set up with baby alligators and other wildlife. We welcome you to bring the little ones out! If you are running with a group or a club and would like to have a pop up and banner, please do so! We will be taking lots of pictures. We look forward to seeing you and your families on Sunday. Bring a change of clothes because you are going to want to stay a while. There are showers at the park.

Brazos Bend State Park is excited to be the venue of our 2nd Brazos Bend Gator Run. Come join the excitement, run a fun and challenging race and get to know the great facilities at Brazos Bend State Park. October is a beautiful time of the year at Brazos Bend. The run course takes you around the most scenic parts of the park. The lakes are beautiful and you will see many different types of birds and wildlife and the friendly alligators will be there to cheer you on during the race. 


Race Course:  Race start will be at Elm Lake Pavillion. You will run to Horseshoe Lake and out some of Big Creek loop then back to Elm Lake. Next, the course heads to Spillway Trail, around 40-acre Lake then back to Elm Lake Pavillion.  The 2-Person Relay will handoff here and the Half Marathoners will pass for a second loop.
Start Time:  Half Marathon - 7:00AM********** 2-Person Relay - 7:15 AM
Registration Fees:  Half Marathon - $65      2-Person Relay - $80  ***Same Pricing as Last Year***   
Late Registration Fees: 
Add $10 after September 28th.
Dryfit Tech Shirt:  Must register by September 28th to be guaranteed a tech shirt.
Water Stops:  There will be fully stocked aid stations every 2-3 miles.  (Gatorade and Hammer Gel...)
Restrooms:
  You are in the woods! There are 2 clean restrooms on the route (Elm Lake Pavillion and 40 acre lake). See map for restroom stops. There is a clean park restroom at the Amhitheater parking!
Mile Markers:  This is a trail run....There are NO mile markers. You MUST know the course!
Relay Waiting Area:  Elm Lake Pavillion.

Saturday October 27th 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Brazos Bend State Park (Banquet and Dining Hall)
Race Day October 28th  5:30 - 6:30 AM at Brazos Bend State Park (Elm Lake Pavilion)
Chip Timing:  Please arrive early to pick up your chip on race day between 5:30 - 6:30 AM.
Parking:  Please arrive early to allow for plenty of time to park and get to the starting line. There will be parking at Elm Lake for Half Marathoners. See 
map of facilities for parking.
Post Race Party:  There will be f
ood and drink available at Elm Lake Pavilion.
Awards: 
Overall Male and Female and Masters Male and Female. Age Group awards go three deep.
2-Person Relay awards 1st place only Female Relay, Male Relay and Co-ed Relay
Medals: Finishing Medals for ALL who FINISH.

Helpful Information

 Facilities:    Facilities include restrooms with showers; campsites with water and electricity; screened shelters; primitive equestrian campsites; a trailer dump station; a dining hall (capacity 150), with ceiling fans, ac/heat, kitchen facilities, a barbecue pit, tables and chairs, and a restroom; approximately 35 miles of hiking/biking trails, including 8 miles of equestrian trails and a .5-mile nature/interpretive trail. For day-use visitors, there are 3 separate picnic areas with picnic sites. Two picnic areas have a group picnic pavilion (capacity 75 each): Elm Lake and Hale Lake pavilions, have electricity and water outlets, a barbecue pit, and picnic tables.
Directions: 
   The park is approximately a one-hour drive from downtown Houston. Take Highway 59 South to the Crab River Road exit. You may also take State Highway 288 south to FM 1462 West. Follow FM 1462 to FM 762 North. From the south follow State Highway 288 North to the FM 1462 exit or take State Highway 36 to FM 1462 East. All routes are marked with brown signs to guide you.    The park is approximately a one-hour drive from downtown Houston. Take Highway 59 South to the Crabb River Road exit.
